Elements of Vintage Style...VINTAGE FACTORY/INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE

VINTAGE FACTORY/INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE...
It's HUGE right now...
and I find it fun, funky and incredibly functional.
carts, work benches, baskets,
 racks, lockers, bins and baskets
All are staples of the vintage factory/industrial look.
Once work horses in factories, these pieces can now
become unique home decor items with tons of functionality.

Is this the piece that started it all?
Factory carts were the first factory pieces that made their
way into homes as charming coffee tables.

What did these originally hold?
Patterns, employee files, client files, nuts and bolts?
What will they hold in your home?
Vintage factory stools are always cool!

I absolutley LOVE these carts as bar carts! picture it filled with vintage bar ware and your fav liquors.

Oh the possibilities here!
I love the aged wood. I need want one of these in my kitchen!

These may be vintage hospital cabinets...not sure...
but their metal, aged patina finish just screams industrial!

Factory bins on wheels...got a lot of laundry?
Top it off with a metal top and you've got one cool side/end table!

This makes me want to have a party just to fill it up with ice and cold drinks

plans, maps, blueprints, charts, posters
what did it hold at the factory?
Tons of uses for your home.

Work benches make great islands and desks.
I love the use of this fabulous work bench in the entry way.
Filled with another love of mine...vintage bottles.

Shelving units with metal baskets...love this in this kitchen.
The robins egg blue color just adds extra charm.

Lockers, zinc bucket and zinc light fixture. The gingerbread trim
at the window softens the look and provides contrast.

Ooohhh!! This is awesome! Factory chairs and table.
Factory crates and a very unique round metal factory basket.

This is my fav out of all of the above pics. It's got everything!
Work bench, industrial stools, cabinet, lighting and file cabinet.
Exposed vent system in the ceiling adds to the look.
The grey painted floor and white walls soften it all up.

Next weeks Elements of vintage style...CHALKBOARDS!
